BOJ’s Kuroda: G7 sanctions likely having quite big impact on Russia’s finances

“G7 sanctions likely having quite a big impact on Russia’s finances,” Bank of Japan (BOJ) Governor Haruhiko Kuroda said in his appearance on Tuesday.

“The amount of foreign reserves Russia can tap likely fell significantly due to sanctions,” he added.

On inflation and monetary policy normalization, Kuroda said, it is “inappropriate to tighten policy even if energy, commodity costs push up inflation.”
