Admirals (formerly Admiral Markets), an Estonia-based forex and CFDs broker brand, has dived into the lucrative sports-sponsorship space by inking a deal with FCI Levadia Tallinn, the current domestic football club champion.
With this, Admirals has become one of the many brokerage brands to put their brand in the sports arena.
“Football has always had an important place in the history of Estonian sports,” the CEO of Admirals Group, Sergei Bogatenkov, said. “As the representative of Admirals, we are very pleased that we can be the background force for the current champions of Estonia.”
FCI Levadia Tallinn was formed by the merger of two Tallinn-based football clubs in 2017: Levadia and FCI Tallinn. It is a top-division football club in the country and has won dozens of domestic titles.
“FCI Levadia is a motivator for both young and experienced young athletes entering the first training as well as for experienced ones, uniting the sports audience both here in Estonia and far beyond the border. I hope that Estonias position on the world map of sports will be even more noticed of a joint cooperation,” Bogatenkov added.
Sports and Brokers
Meanwhile, sports sponsorships have become a popular way of marketing for brokerage brands around the world. Some of the brokers have inked deals with dozens of clubs at once, while a few chose to put their brands on some of the most popular clubs.
However, Admirals, which offers regulated brokerage services globally, did not specify how it will promote its brand with the football club. Furthermore, the financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Sergei Hohlov-Simson, a Member of the Board of FCI Levadia, said: “Just as the history of our football club can be calculated with a double-digit number, Admirals is one of the longest-running and strongest companies in its business segment. Operating in the international market, Admirals has proven to be a reliable partner and a reliable company. We very much hope that the cooperation between us will become a long-term and respectful partnership.”
