Titan is a modern investing app bringing active stock management to everyday retail investors at competitive rates. Based in the US, the SEC-regulated online broker offers comprehensive portfolio management through a sleek mobile platform. In this review, we explore what Titan has to offer, unpacking its fee structure, account options, licensing details, and more.
Company Details
Titan was founded a decade ago by a trio of experienced financial professionals. It was set up with the aim of making managed investments available to all, not just the ultra-wealthy.
On a mission to modernize investment management, they have streamlined the trading process, offering low fees and a $100 minimum deposit. Over 345,000 users have signed up for a live account while the firm’s trading app has more than 4,500 5-star ratings.
Titan is a US-headquartered investment firm regulated by the SEC. Brokerage solutions are provided by Titan Global Technologies LLC and Apex Clearing Corporation, both of which are registered as broker-dealers and members of FINRA and SIPC.
Portfolio Management
Titan takes an active approach to portfolio management, adopting one of four strategies:
Flagship – an award-winning approach, this fund invests in large US growth companies with valuations of at least $10 billion. After analyzing the pool of stocks for the best risk-adjusted returns, the top 15-25 are selected. Positions are equal-weighted meaning that you will own around the same percentage of each stock. The Titan team will actively manage the portfolio, updating positions and hedges as permitted by the market.
Opportunities – a system that invests in small and medium-sized US companies that can compound capital in excess of the Russell 2000 index over the long term. This strategy is focused on identifying smaller US companies with potential opportunity as a result of market dislocations or key events. Opportunities also tend to leverage more one-off/unique market dislocations, which occur more frequently in the small-cap space.
Offshore – an international strategy focussed on companies across developing and emerging markets. The team aim to identify the most promising 15-25 positions that can outperform the MSCI World ex USA Index.
Crypto – the Titan group finds companies that offer the most durable crypto assets. Using advanced technical analysis to monitor trends and working to separate the digital assets with longevity from the latest fads. The size of crypto positions is based on the team’s conviction levels.
Hedged Investments
The Titan team builds a portfolio to offset risk when the market falls. To do so, the company uses an Inverse ETF. This costs investors a fee but the ETF makes up a small percentage of the value of the portfolio as a whole.
Investors can personalize the percentage of the portfolio that is hedged with levels ranging from conservative (more hedging) to high risk (less hedging).
The level is determined by asking users questions to gauge their risk tolerance. For example, an aggressive portfolio might have 5% of its total value hedged whereas a conservative portfolio could have up to 20%.
Markets
Titan offers investment opportunities across a number of assets and markets:
Stocks – choose between the Flagship, Opportunities or Offshore strategies and invest in US and global stocks
Cryptocurrency – invest in major digital assets like Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH)
Credit – choose between Carlyle Tactical Private Credit Fund and Apollo Diversified Credit Fund
Venture Capital – the ARK venture aims to find companies that are leading in cross-sector innovations such as AI, DNA sequencing, robotics, energy storage, and blockchain
Real Estate – the Apollo Diversified Real Estate Fund offers a mix of big, established private real estate funds and public real estate securities

The cash account allows users to earn up to 2.0% APY.

Fees & Charges

Management fees start at $5 per month for accounts with less than $10,000. This increases to 1% for account balances of $10,000 or more.
Titan does not charge trading fees or deposit and withdrawal fees. With that said, foreign wire transfers will incur a charge. Uncommon requests such as paper statements will also carry a fee.
The fee structure is calculated per client, not per account, so if you have multiple accounts, fees will be charged on net deposits across your various profiles.
To view paid fees, visit Account > Documents> Tax + Account Statements.
Mobile App Review
Titan operates a user-friendly mobile app which can be downloaded free of charge from the Apple App Store or Google Play.
The application offers full 360 management with regular updates and features. Users can check the status of their portfolio, make deposits or withdrawals and adjust risk tolerance levels.
When we used Titan, we found the app interface intuitive and simple to use. Tools are easy to locate and beginner-friendly. The mobile application ultimately offers flexible, on-the-go access, making it great for fitting in around modern lifestyles.
App reviews are generally positive and it is not hard to see why.
Payment Methods
Titan supports transfers made from a linked bank account. An account can be linked manually via account and routing number. Alternatively, clients can link an account using the firm’s authentication partner, Plaid. Wire transfers are also supported.
The platform does not support crypto transfers, however, this is something the broker is looking to integrate in the future.
Deposits
To deposit funds into your live account, visit Account > Transfers > Make a Transfer. Alternatively, tap the + button in the navigation bar. Select the account, input the total sum, and click Next. You will have the option to customize the investment if desired.
You can track the status of the transfer in Account > Transfer > Transaction History.
The broker supports automatic deposits which will be credited within 2-3 hours. To set up, visit Account > Transfer > Automatic Deposits.
Withdrawals
To make a withdrawal, visit Account > Transfers > Make a Withdrawal.

Withdrawals are usually processed within 2-4 working days.
Account Types
Our experts found that Titan offers a handful of account options including individual taxable accounts, traditional IRA, Roth IRA and Rollover IRA accounts.
Whilst the typical retirement account options are covered, clients looking for a joint account or custodial, LLC or other account solutions, will need to go elsewhere.
